A daughter of an educator and three generations of Veterans, my Monterey County roots run deep. I’m proud to be raising my fourth-generation son here while already doing the work to deliver results for every community I’ve represented for a decade – Salinas, Marina, Seaside, Sand City, Del Rey Oaks, East Garrison, CSUMB, and Ft. Ord.
As a County Legislative aide and current School Board member, I’ve led efforts across our District responding to the COVID crisis and keeping families safe. I’ve convened weekly sessions to provide health updates, delivered on free local testing, housing, and financial support to residents; facilitated the distribution of thousands of masks and free meals; and connected families and businesses together with life-saving resources. I am proud to have expanded healthcare programs at Natividad Medical Center and health clinics in Seaside, Marina and Salinas.
I’ve continued to prioritize safe, healthy schools – and established free childcare so teachers can focus on quality instruction as we work towards safe returns to the classroom. I’ve been a leader in developing programs for early childhood development and parent education—and helped identify $5,000,000 in cost savings to increase teacher pay, without raising taxes.
Voting for me ensures we’ll be ready for any emergency and a comprehensive approach to leading Monterey County through challenging times and into a brighter a future – now more than ever, we need experienced, trusted Countywide leadership.
Our community deserves honest, accountable leaders who know how to deliver at the County level to serve each of our community’s unique needs.
As a mom, School Board member, and long-time County Legislative Aide, I understand how County Government works and offer fresh ideas to continue delivering results. Our district – our communities – deserve a Supervisor that knows how our County works and is laser-focused on keeping our communities safe, spurring living-wage job creation, and addressing the housing needs of current residents and future generations.
I stand for:
We must continue this work, together. I will hit the ground running, know every corner of our communities, and have the experience to continue getting results for our families, seniors, veterans, and youth. Join me.
As Supervisor, I’ll continue to provide effective Countywide leadership to keep our communities healthy and safe, put residents back to work, and address the housing needs of current residents and future generations.
Join Senator Bill Monning, outgoing Supervisor Jane Parker, the Monterey County Weekly, Monterey Bay Central Labor Council, Health Care Leaders, the Sierra Club, and neighbors across our District in voting for experienced, trusted Countywide leadership.
